Dr. Syed Ali has been a practicing hematologist and medical oncologist in Virginia since completing his fellowship at the Monter Cancer Center of the North-Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in 2010. After completing his training, he started a practice in Warrenton, Virginia. As the only hematologist-oncologist in Fauquier County, he developed his practice from its inception into a nationally accredited community cancer center. While in Warrenton, he also served as Chair of the Cancer Committee and pioneered the creation of a regular tumor board, tumor registry and multi-disciplinary care teams to help streamline access to care for patients in the community. He also forged relationships with regional university cancer centers to provide his patients with access to national clinical trials.
Dr. Ali strives to offer each patient high quality, personalized care. He believes in delivering the highest level of quality, evidence-based care while also personalizing treatment based on the needs and values of each patient. Involving patients and their caregivers in the decision-making process is integral to Dr. Ali’s practice style. He is a firm believer in offering university level care in the community setting.
