Dr. Mei Firestone completed her undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis and earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Firestone stayed at Georgetown for both her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology. During her fellowship, she had a special concentration in breast cancer.
Dr. Firestone treats all types of cancers and malignant blood disorders, with a focus on breast and gynecological malignancies. She has conducted clinical research in breast and gastrointestinal cancers, as well as in B cell malignancies. Dr. Firestone strives to integrate a multidisciplinary approach in the delivery of personalized care. Her primary goal is treating the patient and their families with compassion and empathy, while delivering state-of-the-art cancer treatment. She is Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology. Dr. Firestone and her husband live in Ashburn, with their two mischievous cats.
